LIDA KOKAYA
Artist | Philosopher | Creator of Movement
Lida, a multidisciplinary artist exploring the profound connection between the body, philosophy, and creation. My work is an extension of my being—a visceral dialogue between movement, emotion, and the physical world. Using my own body as a tool, I create paintings that capture the raw, unfiltered energy of existence, blurring the lines between art, self-awareness, and transformation.
Rooted in epistemology and sociology, my practice challenges the imposed narratives of identity, control, and conformity. We live in an era where external forces—social networks, media, and cultural expectations—shape our perception of self. Through my art, I seek to dissolve these constraints, allowing the body to reclaim its intuitive power beyond societal conditioning.
Each of my pieces is a ritual, beginning with a meditative state where I align with my emotions, choosing colors based on my present state of being. I work with acrylics, movement, and intention—letting the body guide the composition, creating a visual language that speaks beyond words. This process is not just about creation but shedding the old and manifesting the new.
Beyond the canvas, my work extends into immersive experiences, exhibitions, and workshops that invite others to reconnect with their own creative force. I believe that art is not merely something to be observed—it is something to be felt, embodied, and lived.
